Catalina did wonderfully until we got to Romanian land. The exhaustion caught up with her and she was sick for most of the time we were in Botosani, the city where daddy's parents live. We had time for some good adventures and learn that cats are actually nice cute animals :)
Catalina met her first great grand mother and she loved the country side. The animals, the fruits you can pick right from the tree. She did not have much energy due to the jet lag and her cold, but she made the best of it!
Playing outside gets you hungry, and Romanian bread is awesome!
Looks who's the queen of the garden!!
Yes, mommy and daddy celebrated 7 years of marriage. And the last two were pure bliss, with such an amazing gift that we received!
And since there are no limits for us, we went all the way up in the sky! We took a "telegondola" on top of a mountain, where Catalina got to pick some wild flowers and play with rocks. Yes, lots of fun!
And the best part is yet to come. Visiting the country side was still the best part of the trip. Having cats and chickens and dogs around makes for a continuous party. Mommy's favorite grandma couldn't wait to meet Catalina.
Vacuums and brooms are overrated in the country side. This is the way to keep the house clean. You get all the mud off your shoes just like this!
Meet the greatest grandma of all times!
Trip on top of the hill where the big forest spreads. And the best berries anyone will ever taste, with a flavor so string, that my hand smelled for hours, only from holding them for few minutes. Nature does give us wonders.
Catalina learned fast that the best way to stay mosquito free is is by waving a big branch around you. This served her ver well for flies, chickens, geese and every single creature that invaded her personal space.
Instead of china, we used fancier plates for our snacks :)
Catalina was dragged to Iasi, the city where both mommy and daddy studied. She liked it, but the trip had more value for the grown ups. Iasi became a marvelous city and will always hold a special place in our hearts. It's where we met, it's where Marius proposed. Sweet, young memories.
Medical school where mommy spent 6 of her youth years.
And here, among pigeons, almost 10 years back, a very scared boy was offering a ring to a girl. The girl took it, made a marriage proposal out of it and said yes.
10 years later, the best thing that came out of that proposal came to visit the place.
Every princess has her own castle. Catalina also :). She also loved mommy's purse and carried it around everywhere.
All dressed up for the parties, mommy and daddy finally had some time for themselves. Not too shabby these two, right ;)
And three weeks later, we were in an airport again.
And in an airplane again
And above beautiful Romania.
And an airport again...
And to make the earth as round as possible, on the way back Catalina got very sick again. So, not the best trip, but full of adventures and sweet memories.
Romania, wait for us, we'll come back soon, with even more energy and ready for party!
