Family holidays

What a wonderful tradition, to celebrate Christmas at home! I am loving it more and more. 2017 was the second Christmas we celebrated in our tiny American home. We did all the pre-holiday traditions:
1. Got the tree the weekend after Thanksgiving! and this was no small thing, as we were just back from our exotic vacation, with the girls still borderline sick.

2. The neighborhood Santa. We got face paintings that made us all reindeers.

There were some craft tables were Catalina had some fun making ornaments for the tree that waiting to be lit up.

\
Amelia found everything there was to climb on. Including Santa's chair...

 Waiting (un)patiently for Santa

3. Another little tradition that we just started (so not officially a tradition), but something I would definitely like to keep on, is the ginger bread cookie making with Catalina's friends.
We all had fun, and we also had delicious treats at the end of it!

4. The Santa at the Macy's

The girls get dressed Christmasy, we all left happy. Ami cooperated well, till the picture with Santa. She just did not like the guy...

5. Christmas party at Ami's daycare

6.  Christmas party at mommy's work. This one was long lost, till this year when it came back. Not as glamorous as we used to know, but a party nonetheless.

7. Christmas party at Cati's school

8. The visit to Peddler's Village (even though I keep telling Marius this is not a tradition, just something we happen to do every year).

And then, it was finally Christmas. The girls liked some of the presents, some not that much. But we all listened to carols, had good food and just enjoyed ourselves.

Merry Christmas yo' all!
