A visit to Crayola factory

Sometimes weekends are boring. Sometimes there is nothing to do. And then we look for things to do. And we found Crayola factory. It was a nice outing. Ami impressed everybody with her stamina, friendly attitude. Catalina was her sweet self. We had a good time. Repeat soon?

Easter 2017

Oh boy...how can one cook with a 10 month old clinging to her legs all the time? Or asking for attention? Or climbing to whatever is in the house she's not supposed to climb to?
It was not easy, but we pulled it somehow. We cooked and we cleaned and we were ready for Easter!

There was laughter along the way. Ami gets in all sorts of mischief and Catalina is sure to let us know it's time to smile.

Catalina was also REAL help!

And when all was becoming too intense, daddy sent the girls out for long walks so he can clean and cook alone.

And then Easter came and we were all smiling and ready for celebration! Hristos a inviat!

And mommy's little flowers were more beautiful than ever!

Cati's spring

There is no denial that Catalina lost a lot of attention when Ami came into our lives. There is also no denial that Catalina is the best sister one can be. She does ask for mommy time, she does say she wants time for herself, but she ADORES Amelia. When she comes back from school the first thing she does is to hug her sister. When I take Amelia with me to pick her up from school, her smile can swallow the whole world. She is so proud to be a big sister! She carries Ami around the house, and all of the sudden she became very interested in feeding and caring for her dolls.

Some playdates with her friend Cami brought some smiles on Catalina's face. Plus, going down to the creek is always a fun adventure!

 Ready for a date with mommy, Catalina gave me the sweetest smile. The sky is always blue when I'm around her 😍.

First grade is a lot about school. Mornings are not always easy, Catalina is often sad it's not Friday yet. But there are some when she is just happy. And gorgeous!

Field Day at school. Standing up is Catalina's big love for this year, Mary. It's endearing and a little scary to see how much my daughter can love...

While not very interested in the athletic part of her life, Catalina is getting more and more coordinated and able to work for her team. Go team Catalina!!

Catalina started piano lessons in winter and she just started swimming lessons. Her schedule is packed, between homework, school and after school activities there is little time for play. Summer is coming and with it lots of free time! Plus several vacation trips that we have planned. It's bittersweet for me to see my baby girl so grown up. She is such an elegant, delicate lady. Smart and sweet, naughty and well behaved, all in one little girl💕❤️😍

Ami's spring

My little cherry girl is growing like a flower. She gets prettier and prettier each day, a sort of beauty that stops my heart when I look at her. She smiles with her eyes and I have to say very proudly that at this age the most loving smiles are for me. The mornings are absolutely delightful. She wakes up and then pats my face happy that she recognizes me. She hugs me tight and tries to bite me (kiss me maybe?). She has a nanny that stayed with her and she likes her well, but when I come back with Catalina from school I can hear her squeals of happiness from the bottom of the stairs. She knows it's us!

We keep saying this over and over again. Ami is a very different baby than Catalina. She is extremely active, very athletic but lacks any patience for books or more "academic" activities. she does't like to stack cubes, she likes to break up everything she sees. She loves screws and little lights on the household electronics. She has an electric scooter that she loves! She stands on it and if her foot is correctly positioned so it's "on" she can ride it in circles in our living room. But most off all, she likes dirt and little stones. She loves playing in mud and to eat it too!

 Coca, the nanny, is one of Ami's favorite people. She still prefers mommy (yay!!!), but she made good friends with Coca. She can even wave bye bye to mommy without crying if Coca holds her!

Ami is one messy baby. She throws food around, she wipes it on her clothes, or on mommy's. This also means she is a VERY good eater. Chocolate and mud the same :)

And Finally, Ami visited mommy's work place. A little budding scientist here!

Eating, sleeping and playing. These are the 3 things Ami enjoys dearly. Sleeping maybe not that much, but boy can she look adorable!!

Now that Ami is very proficient at walking we're expecting endless fun. Also, we are getting ready for her first birthday. Can't believe it's been a year since this little sunshine entered our lives!

Ami is walking!

Busy to catch up with all the things happening, but THIS needs to be recorded, even if a whole month later! Ami started walking. Her first steps April 1st! A little shy of her 10th month birthday, our little blue eyed angel/troublemaker found her balance and started waking on her own.

Today, a whole month later she is stable on her feet, can stand up from sitting on her own and cruises everywhere in the house.
