Christmas 2019

There was a big post that was skipped just as 2019 ended: the Christmas and New Year.
We celebrated home, and I absolutely loved it. We did many of the Christmasy things we usually do: we picked up a beautiful tree that the girls decorated beautifully; Amelia was especially helpful this year, no more taking decorations off, but rather actually putting them in. They were silly and we listen to carols.

We also took our trip to the peddlers village. The trip itself was not as spectacular as previous ones, a store we loved was closed, the toy store we usually make rich did not seem to have the toys we wanted (maybe we just have too many toys :) ). But the lights outside are magnificent every year.

We also met Santa in the little park next to our house, once again with Monica's family.

Christmas came and we were surrounded by joy and presents and the feeling that we’re cared and cozy in our lives.

A wonderful celebration of 10 years of light

There is nothing like becoming a mother for the first time. 10 years ago I was gifted the most precious and transformative gift of all: a perfect little girl, beautiful like I never imagined a girl can be; sweet beyond words, loving and warm and so, so smart! Catalina is everything I hoped in a daughter, happiness in a magnificent wrapping.

Catalina turned 10 years old this year. We celebrated a little early, just the 4 of us. Not much, just a lunch and Staples visit. Quiet and relaxing. For March 9, the day my butterflies come to my stomach, the day I cannot breathe of emotion, the house was full. Petronela and her family was with us and we celebrated with a great dinner and some fun games. I loved having people shower Catalina with love and attention. But boy, how I missed having her just to myself!

Happy birthday, Cati! Wishing you a life smooth as silk, colorful like a rainbow, and full of all the love you brought with you! My heart will forever melt a little more on March 9.
