Getting ready for Santa

Air is chilly, leaves are mostly gone. There is no doubt, winter is knocking loser and louder at the door.
Thanksgiving passed. We went to Nebraska to see cousins and family. Nice, relaxing trip with amazing

We went to see Frozen2, in a movie theatre with chairs so big and comfy I kind of wanted to move in.:) Everyone seemed in a good mood, kids played (and spent too much time on tablets and iPhones...). I was terribly sick through out but it was lovely to see all this even from the sidelines

Back in Philly we are getting ready to wrap up 2019.
We picked up our tree and decorated it. St Nicolae came with generous gifts!

Santa came to the little park near our neighborhood. We met Monica, Panos and their daughter Sofia. We had once again some quiet fun

 More fun planned ahead of us. Girls are good. We are content. Let’s hope 2019 ends well and 2020 is awaiting with lots of good times!

Trick or treat 2019

Halloween is fun and much expected in our house. Dressing up and the hope for candy is meant to make everyone happy, right?
We started a little worried that it will rain the whole day. The morning came with pouring rain, Catalina’s school parade happened inside as a result. First time ever that I did not see her parade 😳. I wasn't sure when I'll see the girls in costumes again that day, so I wanted a nice picture before they left for school. There you go...

Amelia’s preschool had their parade inside, so I got a little mommy happiness there.

I was lucky enough to participate in Catalina’s classroom party. Nothing fancy, just a little craft and snack, but it was lovely to have that low key time with her to talk and just feel her growing up in front of my eyes.















Of course, trick or treating was fun. Candy was plentiful. Smiles, complaining and sugar rush the same. No regrets!

What’s happening with us

Not much new is happening, but oh so much!

The girls started 4th grade and preschool. Catalina got her PSSA scores. Amazing of course, right in the middle of the advanced group! So proud of my gorgeous girl! She qualified for the band, so she’ll play the flute this year.

Can’t wait. For now she spoils me with piano music 🥰. 

Amelia started taking up a storm. She lost quite a bit of her chubbiness but she’s still soft and puffy. She’s funny in a mature way, just to make us realize she’s not a baby anymore. I’m still holding on to her baby smell. She loves to be held , to be loved and cuddled. 

Romania and other European adventures

Summer vacation was wonderful and short. We visited family and felt home for a while. I loved seeing my 90 year old grandma. I wish I could turn time back 1-2 decades, so I can see my grandma still active, still raising cows and chicken. Without pain. It’s so bittersweet to visit home

After Romania we left for 4 days in Barcelona. It was much nicer than we expected, city and beach at the same place, culture and alcohol mixed in the best way. We walked and laughed and breathed in the vacation feel.

Fall 2019

it got cold, and rainy. Then sunny and beautiful again. It’s fall in Philadelphia and it’s beautiful. We’re doing what we always do in fall. We pick apples, and chestnuts in the city. We play around the house. We go to school and work. We are we.
