Ami's first tooth!
They say that most babies get their first tooth between 4 and 7 months. I always thought the 4 month start is way to optimistic...But guess who spotted Ami's first tooth on October 14, at exactly 4 months and a half? Bunica! Mommy saw a white spot on the gums and thought it's a little wound, but nope, a shinny, white tooth:
This is the best shot of the little tooth, but boy were we all excited! Little Ami is not that little anymore. And lots of excitement ahead of us!
Ami's baptism
It was a hard and easy decision. Both at the same time. We wanted so badly a nice party for Ami, but at the same time we dreaded the fact that we did not have a big party for Catalina as well. After much thought we decided that we have to accept the fact each of our beautiful girls will have the best of what we can give them at that time. We did the best we could for Catalina and it's a pity that "that best" is not as glamorous as "the best" we can do now for Ami. The will never have the same thing, but they'll both always have the best and everything we can give. We that in mind we set up to plan a great party!
Catalina's dress has been decided long ago. Her own nana (god mother) sent her the dress for her birthday and could not have been more perfect for the occasion. For Ami we bought a very pretty dress in one of our shopping sprees. It just happened that Ami's God parents got her another one!
The day of the party we were all ready!
We were all happy. Both my girls looked like princesses! We got to church way before our guests and we had a really great time taking pictures of the set up. The Godparents did a great job paying attention to all small details!
The religious service was beautiful, it always is. It's not often that you have a church full of people, all gathered there to celebrate your most precious daughter. I was happy, nervous, emotional, all in one body. Ami was amazing like always, did not cry till bath time, when she was so startled that she had to take a stand! Bunica also took a stand and that made for quite a fun interruption. At the third dip in the water Ami was plain screaming to let us know she's not ok with it and bunica jumped in to help her and told the priest "enough". It was hilarious and Ami did stop crying shortly after.
After church we all went to the restaurant for the big party. The set up was beautiful, the tables arranged very nicely in pink. We danced, we ate and we celebrated our little Amelia.
We were extremely happy. May we always be healthy, happy and ready for dance. May we always enjoy and celebrate our little girls as we did that night!
