So, when the weather warmed up a little bit we started spending most of our weekends outside. We have a park with a wooden train that kids can actually ride, and Catalina loves it. We visited this park during the winter several times, and it was deserted. Catalina thus decided that this is HER park and HER train. She was extremely disappointed to hear that other kids can ride and play in the train as well. Small tantrums aside, she finally had fun and shared "her" park with the other kids
Spring came with another nice surprise. Compliments to my mom, our balcony looks absolutely amazing. She planted herbs and flowers, Marius put a bench, so now we can enjoy delightful afternoons watching colored birds, deers and foxes running around.
One weekend we had tickets to a kid's play, named Pinkalicious. We read the book at least 5 times before we saw the play, so Catalina was all excited about it. Dressed all in pink, we headed for the city. This girl is all princess!
Spring brings with it Easter as well. Egg hunting is an American tradition that Catalina loves, so we looked for different places that host this event. First on, in our neighborhood. There were plenty of eggs laying on the grass, but also plenty of kids, all a lot faster than Catalina. She did get 2 eggs, but she was once again extremely upset that the other kids had baskets full of them. She did get in one of the eggs a coupon for a free game of bowling, so hurray!
Picking flowers after the egg hunt :)
Next egg hunting event was at our church. The event was much better organized, the kids were not allowed to pick more than 3 eggs until everybody had 3 eggs. Then, they all went ahead and picked some more. This was very much in line with Catalina's wishes, she was all happy she got more eggs this time :)
The grass is green, the magnolia trees are blooming. We're all happy and ready for spring and more flowers. Here are, some of the prettiest flowers in the neighborhood :)
