Dinner conversation with my daughter:
Catalina: Mommy, are vampires real?
Mommy: No
Catalina: Mommy, are ghosts real?
Mommy: No
Catalina: Mommy, are dragons real?
Mommy: No, sweetheart, they are not.
Catalina: So none of the scary things are real
Mommy says nothing, mommy doesn't want to talk about the scary things that are truly real.
Catalina: This means you are the only scary one who's real!
Mommy can't stop laughing. Catalina laughs too, she has no idea what was so funny. Mommy truly hopes that the scariest thing Catalina knows in her life is a scary mommy who yells "We're late! Hurry up and finish your breakfast!"
There is nothing like the wisdom that comes out of our children's mouth.
