Little Catalina has lots of energy these days. After a week of illness she decided that life is meant to be lived and she has no second to spare. On Saturday we went on a little trip to play in the leaves.
She did not seem very impressed, so on Sunday, when I took her out again I expected a very short outing. Well, this time she loved it. She ruffled the leaved, she threw them in the air, she played in mud.
She talked, and talked, then talked some more. The she started counting. She's been doing this for the past days, and we tried recording her, just to give her grandmas one more reason to gleam with pride. However, Catalina is camera shy, so every time she saw the camera she was smiling and running away. Not this time though! Here it comes, counting from 1 all the way to 5!
When her fingernails could not hold any more dirt, I decided it's time for a thorough bath. Catalina had something different in mind, and like usually, things went her way. Half an hour play with warm soapy water. Yes, those duckies needed some scrubbing!
When finally our hands were clean enough, Catalina invited me to a nice cup of tea. This has been our ritual every morning. We wake up, brush our teeth, then we "drink" tea. We get dressed for day care only after Catalina has played with every single piece from her tea set. I can't say I complain, she's the sweetest and silliest waiter ever.
Cheers! Here is to you, my cute little doll. May all our days be like this one, and your beautiful chestnut eyes be always filled with light.
