Ami and Cati

Time flies by us and months later I realize we are older, the girls are bigger and I did not have time to take it all in. Ami is a handful! She is such an amazingly funny baby, always on the move, always pulling at something she's not supposed to. She started cruising along the furniture at around 8 months and we were giving her weeks till she lets go completely. Ami is very determined when she wants something and her strength helps her get what she wants many times. She screams loudly to express her anger or sadness, she scratches us and bites us with her one tooth until we give in. And then she gives us the sweetest smile, to make sure we forgot all about it!

One of her favorite places to be is under the table. She feels safer there, or maybe she feels she can hide and do all the mischief she wants, we don't know. But the second we take our eyes off her, she under the chairs, in the living room or in the kitchen.

The two sisters play together a lot. Catalina could not be a better, more loving sister. She wants to hold her all the time and the first thing after she comes back from school is to ask me to put Ami on her tummy. Of course, Ami is not the doll who lets you do whatever you wish, so Catalina has to be happy with short, fast hugs.

As i said, we are never short on fun with Ami around. She wants to be wherever the action is and she finds trouble in the least expected places. Toilet paper, the toilet brush are both on her high list of fun things to play with...

And while everybody is busy surviving Ami's naughtiness, guess who lost 4 of her teeth! Adorable as she is, her lisp is the cutest thing you ever heard!

We had some warm days and we stayed outside as much as we could. Ami loves it outside so we take all the chances to let her play and crawl in the grass.

Always on the move!

And then, right for Super bowl Marius left for a trip to Europe. It was a very hard week for me at work, Ami got sick while he was away, so that counts and one of the worst weeks that I had to endure (outside family emergencies, of course!). We tried to be brave and we sneaked in quite a few smiles in the begining.

The girls had their own super bowl game and had fun running after a dog toy.

Catalina drew dark lines on her face and then we struggled quite a bit to remove them.

And when we least expected we got more snow and a snow day! We went out and made a very small snowman.

Catalina helped clean the snow off my car and she did it very well!

At the end of my wits, Marius finally came home, just in time for Valentine's Day. Not feeling particularly loving, we did manage to go out for sushi. Once again, not an easy thing to do with Ami...

One of the great things happening is that Catalina takes piano lessons and that she loves it! Ami loves it too, and every time Cati tries to practice she has company :)

Playing under their door :)

Math night at Catalina's school was a success! They finally managed to make math fun, against all the horrible curriculum they are teaching the poor kids

And, a night out with my beautiful daughter! For father-daughter dance Cati always chooses me! And we always make it fun! This time we got there very late, as Marius was just coming back from Europe. But we did continue with a date at the yogurt shop and sushi afterwards. I got so many compliments on my beautiful daughter!

And so, we were getting ready for one of my favorite days of the year: March 9, Catalina's birthday and also the day my heart melts to pieces and I remember how I became the happiest mom of all times!
