Amelia turned 5 this year. Seems almost unreal, that her baby smell still lingers on her, that her tiny hands still feel so soft, and plump and loving like a baby’s. And somehow, she’s 5!
Amelia wanted a nice party. She gave us specific instructions, on how her cake should be, how we should have the house decorated, what activities she wants. And of course, what presents she wants.
Amelia is full of life, love, energy and laughter. She is shining brighter than the sun, seeing all the good in events that might not be perfect. One day she spilled quite a bit of milk on her. She looks at me, and says: at least I didn’t spill it all, and I was also not dressed 😁. You can’t help, but fall completely and madly in love with her.
I do t have many pictures on my phone from her birthday ( I had just dropped it in the ocean and I was in the process of getting a new one). I do remember though she was happy, she spent a lot of time in her her new tent.
What an amazing gift to be her mother! Happy birthday, sweetest girl! Thank you for teaching us love and happiness, you do complete us in the best, shiniest possible way. We love you to the sun and back.
